MOESC Board of Governors Hires Kelly Britton
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Board of Governors held their monthly meeting on August 19th. In the meeting, the board approved a contract to hire Ms. Kelly Britton, who will be joining the Teaching and Learning team at Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center. Britton will be working with Mansfield Middle School as a school improvement coach and also providing a wide range of literacy supports for other member districts.
Britton comes from the Stark County Educational Service Center, where she served as the Curriculum and Special Education Director for the Strasburg-Franklin Local School District. Previously, she was the Coordinator of Achievement and Accountability at Green Local Schools in Wayne County. She has also served as an elementary teacher and lead teacher/mentor in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Akron and her Masters in Educational Administration at Kent State University. She obtained her superintendent’s license from the University of Dayton. Britton also holds a gifted endorsement from Muskingum University.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in many areas including professional development, coaching, school improvement, technology, and knowledge of Ohio’s Learning Standards. We are very fortunate to have her as part of the Teaching and Learning team, and she is already hard at work assisting our districts.”
“I am excited to become a member of the Mid-Ohio ESC team,” said Britton. “As an educator of more than 20 years, I am passionate about providing quality education to all students whether that is through the use of the Ohio Improvement Process, Data Teams, technology integration, or curriculum development. I am also looking forward to being a part of the Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant and providing training that will allow our school districts to increase academic achievement.”
