MOESC Asking Ashland City Schools Community for Feedback

The Ashland City Schools Board of Education approved a contract at its meeting Monday, October 24, 2022 that allows the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center to assist the district in finding their new superintendent. Doug Marrah plans to retire later this year after more than a decade with the district.

Mid-Ohio ESC is requesting assistance from staff, parents, students and the community for Ashland City Schools. An online questionnaire is now live asking for feedback about what the Ashland community deems important for their district superintendent. Responses to the questions will help the Board of Education develop a profile of leadership qualities to assist in the search for the new Superintendent.

The questionnaire can be found at https://www.moesc.net/vnews/display.v/ART/635924520b784. Surveys may be submitted by responding to the Google survey through the link. Respondents may also download a copy and email kimmel.kevin@moesc.net, or print it out and mail to Kevin Kimmel, Superintendent, 890 West Fourth Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44906, by November 20, 2022.

Ashland School Board President Zack Truax said, “The Ashland City Schools Board of Education is looking forward to our partnership with Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center. Their experience in helping school districts include community members and staff in the search process is invaluable. I hope everyone interested in having a voice will take the time to participate.”
