Mansfield City School District Announces Treasurer Search
Launch the media gallery 1 playerMansfield, OH (March 28, 2024) – The Mansfield City School District, located in north central Ohio, Richland County, has an enrollment of approximately 3153 students. The Board is seeking an enthusiastic and visionary leader who demonstrates a high degree of moral integrity, inspires confidence and trust, and promotes open communication. The Mid-Ohio ESC is assisting the Board in its search. The treasurer would start no later than August 1, 2024.
Qualified applicants must possess the following qualifications and experiences: hold a valid State of Ohio Treasurer’s license or evidence one will be obtained, hold a Certified Public Investment Certification, previous School Treasurer experience preferred, experience in fiscal procedures and sound fiscal management procedures, experience in school finance, budget preparation, fiscal strategic planning and forecasting, and funds management and business operations, demonstrate organizational and leadership skills, knowledge of Ohio Revised Code as it relates to school treasurer and treasurer responsibilities, ability to skillfully provide financial leadership for the district, and demonstrate a high degree of moral character and professionalism that reflects positively on the district.

Kimmel expressed his enthusiasm to partner with the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education to find the best candidate to help lead the district. “As a client district of Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, we are assisting the district with the search for their next Treasurer at no cost to the district. The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education is prepared to negotiate a multi-year contract with a starting annual salary of $110,000.”
