MOESC Seeks Candidates for Development Programs (SLP & School Psychologist)

Mansfield, OH (March 1, 2024) – In a bid to address the growing demand for qualified professionals in the fields of speech-language pathology and school psychology, the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center started two initiatives - the Grow-Your-Own Speech Language Pathologist Development Program and the Grow-Your-Own School Psychology Development Program. MOESC is seeking candidates for both programs.

The Speech Language Pathologist Development Program aims to identify, recruit and retain talented individuals seeking certification in speech-language pathology. Participants can benefit from graduate tuition reimbursement, mentorship from experienced professionals, continuous professional development, and networking opportunities within the field. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in an accredited School SLP Graduate Program and commit to working at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center for five years post-licensure.

Similarly, the School Psychology Development Program targets individuals interested in pursuing a career in school psychology. The program offers similar benefits such as tuition reimbursement, engagement with school psychology professionals, professional development opportunities and networking events. Prospective candidates must be accepted into an accredited School Psychology Graduate Program and be willing to fulfill a five-year employment commitment with the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center upon licensure.

For further information or inquiries about these programs, interested individuals are encouraged to contact Megan Shook, Administrative Assistant, Student Services at Mid-Ohio ESC. These initiatives not only aim to support aspiring professionals but also contribute to meeting the crucial need for qualified speech-language pathologists and school psychologists in the educational sector.
