Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training Round 2
Mansfield, OH (October 3, 2023) – MOESC is holding a second round of Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training, a hybrid event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators.
The hybrid training requires participants to access both the ODE Learning Management System and the Virtual Zoom meetings held by MOESC.
To be certified as a Resident Educator mentor, participants will engage in eight hours of self-guided online work over a two-week period and participate in 2, two-hour Zoom meetings facilitated by State Mentor Trainers, Linda Williams and Lisa Kuhar.
Register on Stars/OH|ID. Registration is not complete until you email your name and your training dates to Linda Williams. This will allow you to receive important information and materials for this training. The cost of the training is $125.
Training Schedule:
- Optional 1-hour orientation - Zoom - Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Session 1 - Zoom Meeting - Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Session 2 - Zoom Meeting - Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
