Student Events Calendar Set for 2022/2023 School Year
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSummer may be in full swing, but Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center staff have been hard at work setting up the student events calendar for the 2022/2023 school year. Academic Challenge, local and area spelling bees, and the Artapolooza art festival will all be returning.
Academic Challenge has been something students from 4th through 12th grade have looked forward to every year. Students compete as teams, answering questions about a wide range of topics including literature, fine arts, geography, history, math, and science.

Spelling bees will be part of Mid-Ohio ESC’s mid-winter student activities, and Mid-Ohio will be hosting two local bees and one area bee. The Crawford and Morrow County combined bee will take place January 19, 2023 at 10 am. There is no cost for Client/Member districts, but Non-client/Members have a fee of $100. The Richland County bee will be January 26, 2023 at 10 am. Again, there are no costs for Client/Member districts, but Non-client/Members have a fee of $100. To wrap up bee season, the Tri-County Final will take place February 9, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. For more information on Mid-Ohio’s spelling bees, contact Leah Barger at barger.leah@moesc.net.
A highlight of the spring has always been the Artapolooza art festival. As in years previous, Artapolooza showcases all types of visual art projects: paintings, drawings, sculptures, as well as mixed media and digital arts from area students. Festival dates will be March 23 - March 29, 2023 and take place at Mid-Ohio ESC. There is no cost for Client/Member districts, but Non-client/Members have a fee of $200.
