Crestview Local School District Announces Treasurer Hire

The Crestview Local School District Board of Education voted at their meeting on Monday, December 21st to approve a contract with Barb Donohue to hire her as District Treasurer, which will start March 1, 2021 and will go through July 31, 2022. The district, with the assistance of Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, was seeking someone for the position of Treasurer, after current Treasurer, Beth Lykins, submitted her resignation in November.

Mrs. Donohue said this position brings her career full circle. “I started out my career working for Crestview. My children graduated from school here, and my husband served on the school board for 8 years. I was going to fill in as the interim, but after a little bit of discussion, I realized I still had a lot to offer. Coming back to Crestview means a lot to me, and I’m glad to be working with good people and a good district.”

Crestview Superintendent Randy Dunlap said Mrs. Donohue comes with a wealth of experience.  “I am excited to work with Barb and look forward to having her as a significant part of our administrative team as we look to develop a productive working relationship to benefit our students and staff.  I will miss Beth [Lykins] and wish her the very best. I truly appreciate her efforts during her time at Crestview.”

School Board President Lisa Music was equally enthusiastic about Donohue’s hire. "We are excited to bring Barb aboard at Crestview as our new Treasurer. Her 20 plus years of experience is a huge asset to the district, and we are confident that everyone at Crestview will benefit from her work."

Mid-Ohio ESC Superintendent Kevin D. Kimmel said Mid-Ohio ESC was glad to partner with the Crestview Local Schools Board of Education to find the best candidate. “Mrs. Donohue brings a wealth of experience in school finance, so we are thrilled to have helped Crestview find such a quality addition to their district leadership.”
