MOESC Hosts Evaluator Training

Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center is offering required training sessions for those who will be evaluating principals, teachers and school counselors using the OPES 2.0, OTES 2.0, and OSCES Models, respectively.

There will be a 1-day bridge training for those already trained/credentialed in the existing OPES on June 6th and August 2nd from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mid-Ohio ESC. On June 7th and 8th and August 4th and 5th, there will be a 2-day training for evaluators who have never been trained/credentialed in the current OPES, and are preparing to evaluate in a district transitioning to OPES 2.0 in 2022-2023. Both days are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mid-Ohio ESC with lunch on your own. Dr. Mark Burke and Kelly Britton will be presenting for both the bridge training and 2-day training.

Three opportunities are available for those who need OTES training. Those interested can pick one of the three-day sessions that will take place at Mid-Ohio ESC on June 13-15, June 21-23, and August 9-11. Each day is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mid-Ohio ESC with lunch on your own. Dr. Mark Burke and Kelly Britton will be presenting.

One training session is open for registration for OSCES. This training will take place on August 3rd at Mid-Ohio ESC from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch on your own. Dr. Mark Burke and Kelly Britton will be presenting.

To register for any of these opportunities, go to https://safe.ode.state.oh.us/portal. All June trainings will be offered at no cost to client districts thanks to grant funding. Otherwise, the cost is $100 for the bridge OPES training and $175 for all of the new trainings. Anyone with questions can call Mark E. Burke, Jr. at 419-774-5520 or email burke.mark@moesc.net.
