MOESC October Student Services Network Meetings
Mansfield, OH (September 18, 2024) – The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) is excited to announce a series of upcoming events in October designed to support and enhance the skills of our educational professionals.
Related Service Providers Network Meeting
On Tuesday, October 8th, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM, all Related Service Providers and Psychologists will convene for the Related Service Network meeting. MOESC is honored to host Dr. Charles Carlin, Graduate Program Coordinator and Associate Professor at The University of Akron’s School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Dr. Carlin will present on the crucial topic of workload calculation. "This network topic is significant as it will provide the knowledge to analyze each Mid-Ohio ESC provider’s workload and determine if it is at a healthy level," says Shelly Patrick, Assistant Student Services Director.
Paraprofessional and Intervention Specialist Training
On October 29, 2024, from 4:30-6:30 PM (dinner included), MOESC will launch a Paraprofessional and Intervention Specialist training series to foster a collaborative and effective system to address student behavioral needs. This event will focus on strengthening cooperation between classroom teachers and paraprofessionals/aides. Participants will have opportunities for networking, Q&A sessions, focused-topic discussions and learning mental health and wellness strategies. The series will be led by MOESC’s Behavior Support Team and is intended for classroom teachers and the aides and paraprofessionals who work alongside them.
Interested participants can register here. The cost for members of client districts is $50 while non-client participants will pay $75.
